Why snakes make great pets for busy working parents
Your kids have been bugging you for a dog or a cat. You just know that that’s gonna mean more work for you. I’m sure some of you have responsible kids that will actually step up to care for the pets, but to be on the safe side, might I propose the often overlooked and undervalued cornsnake? I lucked out that our nieces already have one. But put a gun to my head to pick a pet? I can’t imagine a better fit than the snake TBH. 😂
They don’t stink. They smell like nothing.
They always feel squeaky clean! Even IF they somehow pooped on you (quite unlikely), their poop is like a white-ish cream. Even that feels clean!
They are low maintenance - they only need to get fed every couple of weeks. This pet will rarely foil your vacation plans.
They don’t need to be walked but love to “cuddle” in their own way.
They’re not needy. They’ll leave you alone. They don’t make any noise. Peace and quiet always.
They are so beautiful. Look at their skin! People try very hard to WEAR THEM!
You’ll become the envy of your kids friends when you bring it to school for show and tell.
They don’t take up a ton of space. It just needs a tank.
Cleaning up their mess isn’t bad at all.
Shedding their skin is one of the coolest things ever.

You’ll have to be okay with frozen mice in your freezer.
You’ll have to be okay with thawing out said mice,
and you’ll have to be very okay with watching a snake eat a mouse for dinner.
