My favorite macro-friendly recipes
These are some of my favorite repeat recipes in our household! I do make adjustments to many of these to make them fit my macros. My usual substitutions:
cheese = laughing cow cream cheese wedges or low fat shredded mozzarella or nutritional yeast as topping
pasta or noodles = spaghetti squash, butternut squash, zoodles, cauliflower, palmini heart of palm noodles or shirataki noodles. My favorites are skinny noodles “ramen” style and Lokarb noodles.
Rice = cauliflower
Granulated sugar = swerve
Maple syrup = Sugar free syrup
butter = butter extract
Egg = egg whites and water
peanut butter = PB2 powder
tortillas or wraps = Joseph’s lavash or pita bread
corn starch = xanthum gum
ice cream = yasso bars or nick’s ice cream
